This is a follow up to my previous topic. It seems that my phone for some reason is not detecting my AC Outlet charger. Well it is in a way because when the Razr is off and i plug the AC outlet charger in, the phone boots up, which its not suppose to do. instead it should say charging. Anyways, the razr does detect a USB connection when connected to my PC and infact also charges the phone. Now when i use a DC car charger, it doesn't charge the phone when its turned on, only when the phone is off. There has to be some hardware fault, even though i've already sent this phone for a repair. I havn't modded the phone yet whatsoever, but i thinking maybe if i upgrade the firmware, itll start detecting the AC outlet charger and charge. Just a thought. Hit me back with somethin.

You have sent the phone for repair in the past or you've just sent the phone in for repair?

Don`t think a firmware upgrade will help - I had nearly identical problem - except wudn't charge from USB either and I had firmware 42.09.
Sent phone off 4 repair - will let u know outcome when comes back. I suggest u ring whoever did repair and play hell - I know I wud.

Exactly what i'm gonna do when i send it off for its 2nd repair. Its so frustrating wasting all this money just to ship it off. I just wanna get this over with. I've had an okay time with the Razr V3, now its time to switch to a "feature rich phone." I'm eyeing on the new Samsung D600.

I have the same problem with My Razr... What was the outcome?
Did they fix the problem?
Is it with the phone?
I bought a new wall charger but that didn't work... USB won't work either but it charges fine in the Car????
Any help?

No - they sent it back and forth a few times unrepaired then replaced it.
