Motorola USB Modem usually comes best with MPT, because just about everyone here is going to start at MPT before jumping into the advanced techniques. So the rest of the drivers are given to you with the p2kprograms.

As discussed, you must install the p2kdrivers in order for the p2kprogram to detect the phone. I don't know if you have or not, but reboot the PC, then plug in the phone and open say p2kman or p2ktools. It should detect the phone and then windows will ask to install some drivers, the drivers are located in the P2kman or P2ktools folders, so guide it there by selecting choose specific folder or location. Then browse into the folder and then when they are all installed you should find that it finds the phone now. If you've had MPT open anywhere within 2 mins of opening a p2kprogram thats why it won't find it also if you did or didn't install the driver. Thats why I recommend the reboot. Just to ensure, but for future reference you just need to wait a min or two before moving from MPT to a P2kprog.
(P2kman and P2ktools are just examples you can use PST, P2kseem, or any p2kman or p2ktools.)

Hello all newbie to this programming of the phone.
I own/lease a RAZR V3c from Verizon
I have MPT and it upgrades to the newest version. Sorry I don't have the numbers of the versions I think it upgrades to a 4 version. Anyway I've attempted to install the drivers for P2Kman via the tutorial and any other way I could think of. The phone charges and is recognized by MPT (except for the mutli-media thing). I'm running windows XP and have tried to force drives for P2Kman anyway I could think of but Windows still informs me that drivers are unavailable for the hardware I'm trying to install. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you for any help in advance.

Read both fom Nov 02, neither is the issue I have.
1) I have the drivers.
2) I've unzipped the program into it's own directory
3) When setting up P2KMAN it searches for the drivers tells me no driver
is available and then I point to the directory where everything is i.e. c:\p2kman\Drv.
4) I've deleted any driver I've had tried to setup P2KMAN by itself.
5) I have a V3c (from Verzion) MutliMedia does not work with MPT.
This still gets me the response from XP that drivers are not in that particular directory even though they are physically there.

i thikn i know what your tlaking about.. their is a option when your trying to install the drivers to choose from a specific folder (or somethign of that nature).. so when your trying to connect to p2kman, and you plug your phone in, does it ask you to install drivers for only one device (only asks to install one at a time) or serveral? and what device is your computer recognizing your phone as?
