Yes, when I plug the phone in it requests to install drivers, three of them. When I blow out all the drivers and MPT the PC will not recognize anything when plugging the phone in. The PC will request to install drivers, I point it toward the disk where MPT will be and it will pull the driver for the USB cable. I’ll disconnect the phone bring up P2KMAN. Plug in the phone. PC will indicate new hardware found and look for drivers indicating that drivers are unavailable. I'll request to specify drivers, indicate the directory and windows will still indicate that no drivers are available for the hardware. It will do this twice more and indicate that hardware is installed but no drivers were specified and P2KMAN will indicate no connection and in general profile it will indicate yellow triangles with exclamations for 3 or four items. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong or do I have the wrong drivers. I've tried the ones that I downloaded it with and also found files for just drivers for P2K.
Thank you again for the help.

MPT and P2k use different drivers. You need to point it to the p2k drivers and make sure MPT is closed

So pull the driver for MPT totally and then just load the drivers for P2K?
I'll try that again tonight.

You can leave the MPT drivers installed - just make sure to close MPT down and leave it for a minute or two before trying to install the p2k drivers

Thank you for your time again. Yes when I tried it before MPT wasn't even on the pc and it had just picked up the driver.

What phone do you have? There is a good getting connected guide for the V3 at http://www.themotoguide.com - it also works on most other models

i had a friend who sort of incountered the same situation with p2kman and mpt.. he had to uninstall mpt to get rid of the driver settings for the phone then re-installed mpt after he got p2kman up and running
