I've read pretty much everything there is about the C2000 - data cables, software, UL/DL ringtones & pictures to phones and trying methods posted for other phones (as well as those posts specifically aimed at C2000s) to work with C2000s. I know it's still a fairly "new" phone, but I want to know what things others have found to work with the C2000 and if anyone has been able to actually use some of the functions this phone is supposed to be able to do.

I just got a cheap USB datacable I got from Eforcity (just arrived today - 4 days total, not too bad). The drivers that come with the cable don't work - no real surprise, I guessed it wouldn't work but tried it just for kicks. I ended up using the driver from Futuredial and it works just fine. The cable has a switch located on a box attached to the cable that switches from data mode to charge mode which I also found to work quite well. So far so good.

Now to find some software that works with the C2000... I tried using Bitpim just to see if it could do anything with the phone - no luck - couldn't even get the phone and PC talking. Next I tried using every LG software package for any C model available phone I could find. Still no luck - no phone to PC connection could be made with any 'C' software.

Next I tried the UK version for the LG L1100. OK this time I got the phone and PC talking using the Sync program and was able to get all of the software's functionality to work with the phone and SIM card (i.e. Phonebook stuff). OK so that works, but Contents Bank doesn't - couldn't even recognize the phone. It has preloaded ringtones and pictures that come with the software, but cannot upload to phone.

So far that is all I've been able to come up with. Now I ask what other things for the C2000 have others tried and have had some luck getting to work? Post both success and failed attemps (so those of us that are trying to figure this out don't reinvent the wheel). I want to find out everything we can about this phone and what it can do. Thanks in advance.

I was not able to get the L1100 sync software to work with my C2000. Are there any special things you must do on the phone / SW to get this to work? I can see communications going back and forth between the phone and the LG app using Portmon, so I know the USB cable is working OK...

I was able to to get LG PC sync to work with the phonebook only. Don't remember where I got it (downloaded so many).
If you need to transfer numbers try this.

What phone does the working LG Sync software say it is for? I tried the L1100 software and many others with no luck...

Hi
So far I have used wap software on my pc to successfully get rings and pics and games to my c2000. I use Polyphonic Wizard that I downloaded and bought a couple years ago.

http://www.polyphonicwizard.com/

The nice thing about it is that I get free updates for life.

doesn't wap require you to use the internet on your phone, which causes additional charges?

Anyone find any software for the c2000 using a data cable? I have tried data pilot and many LG sync's with no luck.

I'd also like this software, it says "method not allowed" when I try and download it. Please send to comic.girl(at)gmail.com . THANKS!

This is all so frustrating!
