have unlocked my v300 with subsidy code from t mobile and installed my cingular sim but i am getting no reception. the phone displays the correct phone number and seems to operate normally. is this an issue regarding the frequency? i checked the coverage map and it says 1900 reaches into my rural area south of saint louis. PLEASE help dont want to own a $200 paperweight.

do a manual network search...select a different tower...ensure that you have the phone setup for 850 mhz rather than 1900 only(850 will give you better coverage)

bands offered are only 1900 and 900/1800. it also has removed the ability to do a manual network setup. cingular says its do to there sim card, the old t mobile card used to allow manual network setup.
