thank you, thank you all for being here and sharing your knowledge, and special thanks to duceduc for listing the fix.
i was freaking when i realized i couldn't get to the detail menu, but now all is well. i used the pst method.
by the way, clicking the "fixmelodydb" button in p2ktools is i believe what caused my problem.

I was having the same problem after freeing up space, and I went with the Motokit method. It seems to have worked, but there are a few quirks:
When I try to set a specific setting for the detail (like if I go to Loud Detail, then Calls, and then I scroll down the list of different sounds) when I hit the bottom of the list, instead of going back to the top of the list, I get kicked from the menu. Not that big of a deal. And one of the sounds doesnt show up, but thats ok too. Something that is a big deal though is that it still wont let me access the Vibrate Detail menu at all. Vibe and Ring Detail works, Vibe then Ring Detail works, but Vibrate Detail kicks me back to the main screen.
Ideas?

Yup, same problem I had...I deleted the temptoneDB.db and the mytoneDB.db and then restarted the phone, still no help, so then I used the motokit fix, had the vib kick problem, used PST feature file and set all the ringers to 0 and after uploading those settings and restarting all was fixed. Try that see if it helps for you.

the motokit fix was the one that solved the problem for good in my case, and its definitely the easiest method. u just launch the program, click on fix ring detail, connect ur phone, click 'launch' and presto-chageo... magic!
