Phone Model: Various Nokia ME Range |

Got a slight problem with my 6680 for past few days. Whenever I try to turn the phone off, it loads the screen that says 'NOKIA' and that's it. It then keeps re-flashing that screen over and over again and does not load the actual OS.
It just happened all of a sudden. No physical damage or anything. Just one day, won't switch on. I've tried changing batteries, charging them, changing sim cards, even slight banging on table. Nothing.
Does anyone know any fix for this? Maybe a phone reset or something?

maybe you need to format your phone!
before i tell you how to format your phone,i must make sure your problem below:
you mean : when you press the "power" key to start your phone ,it just disappear "Nokia" ,and moment later the screen turns to white and does not load the OS?
if it does ,you can press the "answer" key&"*" key&"3" key at the same time, then press "power" key to start your phone, keep pressing the 3 keys untill the screen appears "formating" or until the OS loaded.then you can releas your hand!

Try this:
1) turn off your phone
2) take out the memory card on the right-hand side
3) turn on the phone and wait for a bit
4) If step 3 should failed, turn off the phone and try the green answer key, "*" key, "3" key, and power key combination with the memory card removed.
If your phone reboot correctly, good news is that your phone is working again... bad news is that your memory card is most likely fried.
Unfortunately, frying memory cards is a known Nokia 6680's favorite pastime.
good luck

To clarify the above instructions (or at least explain what worked for me), I did the following:
1. Removed battery, replaced battery (I also made sure the battery was fully charged by using my wife's 6680 to charge it as I don't think the battery was charging in the malfunctiioning phone).
2. Press and hold the following 3 keys together: green 'answer' key + the "*" key + the "0" key (calling it the '3' key is a bit confusing)
3. While holding the above 3 keys, also press the 'ON' button to power up the phone. I kept the 'on' button pressed for 2 seconds, but I don't know whether that was necessary or not.
4. I released the 'on' button, but kept pressing the other 3 buttons for a further 5-10 seconds (at least until the phone looked like it was doing something different to the flash/fading of the Nokia name)
5. At this point I noticed that the display no longer kept flashing/fading the nokia name and it actually started.
It appears that this process results in the all the factory settings being restored (ie, you need to re-enter location/date/time, contacts, email setting, personal profiles), but there were some things that were kept (e.g., wallet data, some intalled apps-but not all).
Considering I had been told that the mainboard would need replacing, I'm pretty happy with this.

I tried the 3-key solution and got no response.
The symptom: most of the time pressing/holding the power button does nothing. When it does, a Nokia logo repeatedly is displayed for a few seconds, then fades away. This repeats until the battery is taken out (pressing power in this state has no effect). The backlight never comes on.
When holding the green answer key, asterisk (*) and '3' numeric key then pressing power for a few seconds, nothing happens that is any different from pressing power alone.
Do you think a hard-flash using fbus connection and phoenix is the only solution? Does anyone recommend a specific tutorial for this process?
