I have used VoiceStream/Tmobile for 5 yr now, and never had any of the pain you all have described. If I found an error in my billing, I have called, talked to a CSR, and calmly described the discrepancy. I documented the date, time, to whom I spoke, and what action was taken. If I did not like the direction the call was going, I asked for a supervisor. I have always been treated fairly. In the markets in which I've lived, TMO is almost always the least cost carrier. Only thing I would ask for is that they offer free incoming calls like US Cellular or Sprint.

Your reward is being told that you are a valued customer. It's an old customer service rep trick. Certainly you are a valuable customer... valuable to their profits.

If I didn't know better, ck, I'd say that you were being sarcastic.
Seriously, though, are you really that jaded? Customer service reps as a whole could care less about the profits of the corporation. Customers are valued because it's they who keep the company in business, and give the customer service peons jobs. You make it sound like the people who answer the phones are little CEOs whose only purpose is to line their pockets.
What would show you that a company values you as a customer? That everything be given to you for free? Too many people, and I'm not lumping you in because I don't know the source of your sour grapes, think that corporations should provide service as a courtesy with no profit, and that lapses in THE CUSTOMER'S(or, in the case of cell phones, the customer's teenage son/daughter) judgment and/or responsibility should be paid for by the corporation.
In short, get over yourself.

I don't think anyone here is asking for everthing for free to feel like a valued customer, only to be treated fairly. One only needs to follow cases like Sprint/Nextel increasing the message charges without letting customers know and only offered those who in a two week window who had not already paid that month's bill to cancel their service with no ETF. Or look into the class action lawsuit filed by AT&T customers who were taken for a ride in the Cingular buyout/merger deal. I have read that Cingular promised to allow existing AT&T customers to roam on the Sprint Nextel network and even promised those with free M2M to talk free to S/N customers while their current deals ran out. After the deal was in the books because of these consessions Cingular began to try to force at&t customers to resign new contracts and start higher pricing to avoid roaming charges to use their phones, let their service degrade to the point where they had no service but still were required to pay their bill or suffer ETF's. These are documented cases and just a small sample of what is becoming of the way business is being done. Oh....BTW one more, I have Verizon DSL and feel this is a perfect example, if you call their tech support w/ prob or customer support to complain.....9 out of 10 times you will speak to someone in Pakistan or India or someother outsource location.... But call the number to make a payment USA all the way....IMO you need help they don't care if you cannot understand the person assigned to help you and are driven crazy....you want to pay them and they make sure no mistakes that could take money away from their pocket are made.

Verizon DSL, run by it's Legacy division, is comparing apples to oranges. VZW has no outsources out of the country.

the example was given for the reference of how corporations think regarding the lone customer and how they treat us as if we have to just take it in the rear and have no power to do anything about it. But after reading a couple of your posts, I would like to know how much stock do you own in Verizon. Or do you own a Verizon wireless phone store? Just wondering why you are such a shill for them. As far as apples and oranges you must first try to actually read the posts you are reacting to. I mean read and understand what the author is saying not just assuming the meaning than flying off the handle. In the Northeast where I live before the satellite tv option we all had only one option Cable, only one company that everyone had based on where you lived, that is called a monopoly. Monopolies were ruled illeagal long ago yet these huge companies that were owned by just a few corporations. Even the FCC had no recourse against these companies, still don't. Corporations like Cingular, TMO, Sprint/Nextel, Verizon and the like are trying to become the Enrons of the future, and are stepping on their greatest assets, us customers, to achieve their goals.
