If T-Mobile makes you agree to a new 1 or 2 year contract if you make changes to your plan or upgrade your phone, aren't you then a "new" customer? Shouldn't you receive the same pricing and selection phones?
Would someone explain to me what "perks" I have received from T-Mobile for being a loyal (auto pay) customer since 1999? I cannot get the good pricing on phones as a new customer would, nor can I have the selection of phones that a new customer would have.
I went to the authorized T-Mobile store yesterday and was not able to purchase an upgrade on the phone I wanted, because it was not available to existing customers. But, if I wanted to upgrade, I would have to extend my contract. I also spent 30 minutes with customer support trying to resolve this, to no avail.
The only reason I keep T-Mobile is because the coverage is good in my area and it's the only available service.
I have never received ANYTHING from T-Mobile for being a loyal customer. Please tell me why they treat their existing "in good standing" customers so poorly.

Be lucky you were only with customer service for 30 minutes. I was on the phone with them for 5 hours in a week peroid trying to get credit from a double billing from my bank account.

This is what you do, call in to customer care and tell the rep you want to cancel, then you'll be transferred to the retention dept, these are the reps you want to talk to about getting perk, like discounted plans and free phones, this only works if you have more than 10 months of service with TMobile

Why complain, if you dont like the pricing on an upgrade go with another carrier if you think its less of a headache.
