I have just talked to my friend, he said the chip that he has can not unlock the phone. B/c there is a new chip inside the phone, and if anyone tried to unlock it, it will some how fry the phone. Have anyone heard anything like this b4? Please help. Thanks

Really?! But how come when I download the flash file, it said unlocked..... 
My friend has a cellular store and he has the smart chip, but it fail to unlock the phome. Someone told me the new Black razr are unlockable. Is that true? |
That just mean that the flash will not lock your fone back to a provider.
Press and hold down * and # keys then press the power key untill you fone turn on in boot loader mode and tell me what is the boot loader version? I think it is 8.26 because if your friend has smat clip and he cannot unlock it that most likely to be the case.
