Hi, I recently purchased an "unlocked" Razr V3, however I am having some problems with its network selection. It shows other networks as available (though curiously not the correct network), but it always connects to T-Mobile UK. Does this mean the phone is actually locked to T-Mobile? Even if i try and chose a different network from those available this happens.
Thank you for any help!

No if you can use your sim card in the phone then its unlocked. I noticed a problem like this when I created my video.rar pack for people to enable video record on their razrs. The original pack was made from cingular seems and when T-Mobile users loaded them to their phones they could only connect to Cingular, its a bug and it has to do with the 0032_0001 seem in the phone, quick fix would be reflashing the phone to whatever carrier you are with or get hold of a RAZR branded for your carrier and try uploading their 0032_0001 seem to your phone. More info on seem editing here: http://xlr8.us/hofo

Oh thanks, thats a relief! Unfortunately I think finding seems for my operator might be a little annoying, considering its a UK one and a smaller one at that. I am switching to O2 though, hopefully that might work better.
Also another question. I have been looking into flashing/flexing and have visited the motox site and looked at the various monsterpacks available there. I was wondering what is the difference between the standard Razr V3 packs and the motox ones? Obviously I guess the motox ones are a bit more dodgy being homebrew of a sort, but are they better?

Motox ones have just been modified from their original state (which can be a good/bad thing) I personally have only tried 4 flashes, the stock one that came with the phone (older version cant remember exactly what), 40.C3R pretty good flash... fairly stable, 40.08R seemed good at first but slowly became unstable..... 40.09R good stable flash, pic quality seems alittle lower then previous flashes but nothing to complain about. Going to try the newest flash 40.0CR when I get home later today, will test it out and post back on my findings. Two newest flash files if you are interested are 40.09R and 40.0CR
