Well, after allllllllll of those software downloads and experiments (with no success), I got some other info which worked for me.
I used the Audacity software to cut down my mp3 to about 40 seconds long. Then I went to http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/ and uploaded the small mp3. When I put my phone # on the website, I automatically received a text message. When I opened the text and saved the file, it saved to my downloaded application section. From there, I was able to assign it to be a ringtone.
The other info was useful, but too many various steps and downloads. I think my mmf file wa still too large- who knows? But, I learned something though and knowledge is POWER.
Try the method I used for the ringtone. Good luck.

Audacity?
Pc Stuido?
What ever happend to good ol Acid Pro?
I have used the website in the first post with mp3s I cut down in Acid Pro and encoded to 96kbps (which is WAY MORE THAN GOOD, I don't know why people would complain about less than 196kbps) and I have had no problems what so ever with my D807.

Is there any charge for accessing t-zones and for the data transfer involved in downloading the song?

Soo i did all that first guy said, with the a920 on mobstorage, but after i downloaded it, and listened to the ringtone, i wasnt able to access it once i disconected from my providers (bell) web service. I went to select the ringtone, went to "download" and it wasnt there. Any help guys? Does it have to be an mp3 file, because on initial reveiwing i thought it might work better as a .mmf or a midi or something like that. Anyone with an answer let me know, thanks.

I know this is not a samsung phone, but my wife just got a Razr, and I was wondering: will this website work for her phone too?
Oh, and to the guy above me, yes, it does need to be an mp3 - preferablly under 300kb
