1. Open Mp3 with program like Audicity/Mp3 Cutter or equivalent program
2. Cut Mp3 to 30 seconds or less (must be under 300KB also)
3. Save modified Mp3 to PC
4. Go to www.mobstorage.com and click on "Click here to upload your files now >>"
5. Click on the Browse button and locate cropped Mp3 and then click on the upload tab
6. You are then given an Item Code
7. Go to wap.mobstorage.com on your cell phone
8. Enter the item code and save the tone to your phone

For the a950, use a free download program from Qualcomm called PureVoice. It allows you to convert mp3 (and other format files) into the QCP format that the a950 wants to see.
1) Open ring123.mp3 in PureVoice
2) Execute Menu item File, Convert
3) Save converted file to ring123.qcp
4) Copy ring123.qcp to your transflash card into the MY_SOUNDS folder
5) Reload the transflash card into the phone and the ringtone will be visible now.
I've used it and it's pretty easy, plus I finally have my "Hells Bells" ringtone that I love so much.
Good luck!

Can you please post more information on this procedure for the samsung a 950. What file types are used for the music vs. The tones? I have the music folder filled with mwas and they work fine. Mp3's are not recognized. What file type is used for tones or the sounds folder? I downloaded the qualcom product but found it crashes when I try to convert the mp3s or wmas? I have quicktime, not Edora, How do I use the purevoice as part of quicktime or as a stand alone to convert mp3s or wmas to the proper file for a tone or sound or ring tone?
thanks.

There's another way than what I wrote above that I read elsewhere on this site...
If you're looking top do ringtones, you can take an mp3 and edit it down to the part you want to use, then convert it to a .WAV file (there are numerous tools for this, like Poikosoft). Then, if you simply change the file extension from .WAV to .MID, it works. Plus you get much better sound quality than the .QCP.

I followed the directions with mostorage. The song downloads and it plays, but I dont know how to save it with my Samsung A920. I cannot use music on my tranflash card as ringtones.
