I've got the drivers and all required programs installed and running. The problem I'm having is that when I try to flash the phone back to R364, SmartMoto 1.04 switches to Flash Mode and then tells me that it is "Unable to connect to the subscriber unit. Unable to retrieve interface handle". Any ideas why I can't flash?

I followed the unlock steps . Will this work with a motorola tracfone sim?
How can I test ?I want to use prepaid cards any suggestion for a sim?

i unlocked one and used a cingular pay as you go sim in it i would think tracfone would also work as long as it uses a sim.

Newbie here, and very confused. I got my friend's old (tmobile) Motorola v330 phone when she upgraded THINKING it was alright to put in my Cingular SIM. She did not provide me with a USB cable.
After an embarassing call to my service provider and finding out I can't use other phones I was about to give up.
My question is, would it be worth it to purchase a USB mobile cord and try this myself? I'm not trying to get something for nothing, but don't know where to start. From what I've gathered from the FAQ's already posted, it may be possible to unlock it using software and the cable.
