I have put this thread together because of the increasing amount of requests for unlocking these models and others. These methods will work for the models listed above, for other models you will need to unlock by smartclip, pay for remote unlocking online or get the phone unlocked at a cellphone shop.

Method 1
(Thanks to Motoaide where this was originally laid out)
What you need
-Data Cable
-P2kman(you will also need either MPT or PST drivers for p2kman to recognize your phone)
-Unlock Software

Steps
-Have P2kman running
-Put phone into flash mode (press * + # + power at the same time)
-Start unlock software, phone should not be unlocked
-Test phone with sim from different carrier to verify that phone is now sim subsidy lock free

Method 2
(Thanks to Motoaide where this was originally laid out)
What you need
-Data Cable
-P2kman(you will also need either MPT or PST drivers for p2kman to recognize your phone)
-Motorola Unlocker

Steps
-Start Motorola Unlocking software
-Have phone off and sim card out, connect phone to usb cable
-Put phone in flash mode (press * + # + power all at the same time)
-Press the unlock button on motorola unlocker software, message should say RFone found..... phone connected and done
-Test phone with sim from different carrier to verify that phone is now sim subsidy lock free
Method 1

**V180, V220 users: If you have flash version R365....., you will need flash back to R364 before unlocking.
To check which flash version you have, press * # 9999 # on phone. Otherwise, goto menu > settings > phone status > other settings > S/W version to check.

I've followd the direction above but the phone remains locked.
I have found out that this is because of the SW Version of the phone being R365_G_0b.D2.2 I need to change it to an older version the following the above directions will wsork perfectly...
But I haven't found the older version to flash to can you help me?
