After searching the forum I was unable to find out how to configure the v205 for gprs/wap whatever. You see, I bought the phone in the U.S. then took it to Jamaica, got it unlocked and is now using it on C&W's network which offers gprs service. Since they didn't sell me the phone they cannot provide me with the help I need to input the configuration settings. I've seen where some guys select menu..then funbox...then wap...probably on the v200 but finding how to do it on the v205 is a headache...any help would be appreciated.

The way to change the settings should be similar for V205 and V200. If they can't help you set up the GPRS then switch provider (if it's an option). If not keep calling their Tech. Support. I can't believe they don't know the settings for their own GPRS network icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

I know what the settings are, it's just that I don't know where to input those settings...I was thinking there'd be an option on the v205 for me to just configure it....or do I need the data cable for this? You see, C&W doesn't even know I have a v205...I'm just using their sim card in it....The t-zone key of course uses settings for t-mobile....I just need to know how to make it use C&W's settings instead of T-mobile's.

you have to unlock the WAP then or flash your phone to V200. T-Mobile is trying to avoid you from using another provider thus they locked the WAP settings so you could only access the T-Mobile network. You cannot change the settings if it's still locked. Get the phone WAP unlocked or flash the phone to V200.

Hi,

My phone model says v208, and while I have no reason to flash the phone as yet I have one problem which is really annoying me.

I am in Australia and using Vodafone. I can use GPRS no problem but in the MMS profile I can only enter 14 characters for the APN. This is a problem as I need 17 characters (live.vodafone.com). Does anyone know how I can get around this?

Your help much appreciated!

* I flashed the phone and now it works like a charm!
