Also, pet peeve: is there any way to disable the feature that requires you to push a button on the phone to consent to data sharing via bluetooth or headset use? It's very annoying, and my sole complaint about this phone. |
Just authorize the device. Go to Menu > Settings > Bluetooth > My Devices... Scroll down to the device, press Options and then select authorize
Hey, do you think you could email me the correct MMS/WAP settins snozle at mac dot com, I seem to have WAP working but I can't get MMS. Also, the place where I bought the phone seemed to advertize that it was EDGE, but It doesn't seem to have EDGE.

Snozzle, that's great. Thanks for the help. I hadn't known about the authorizing thing; I thought that pairing took care of it. I'm clearly influenced by my SE background.
If you have WAP working on cingular, could you mail me the settings for it? I'm Embassy82 at yahoo dot com. Thanks. The children of my village will sing of you.

I got a D600 but Cingular can't turn on my MMS. Do you know the MMS WAP settings? Also, I can't get the D600 to recognize my Bluetooth headset.

These settings allowed me to send a couple of messages. Not sure if they've been received, but at least they left my phone in a valid way.. i.e. moving from the Outbox to the Sentbox.
Press Menu, 5, 5, 2, 3, 2
Profile Name: Multimedia
Server URL: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Proxy: Enable
Version: 1.2 (295KB)
Then go up to GPRS Settings.
IP: 66.209.11.32
Port: 8080
APN: wap.cingular
LoginID: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM (upper case)
Password:CINGULAR1 ( upper case)
Edited to add: Confirmed functional in both directions. These settings work with the D600

Hi there. Before I start I want to thank you guys for the settings for the Samsung D600 which I just got 4 days ago. I followed the settings on this forum for both the internet and MMS and everything works except for one thing, I can send and receive pictures, and I can send video but when I receive a video clip, this is the message I'm getting
"One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your terminal." Has anybody encounter this problem and does anybody know how to get around this?
I also have this problem with my other Asian phone-Nokia 6670.
Thanks for all your help.
