You can backup from another X426 if you know someone with one.

My hotmail Id is khanamir21@hotmail.com. Add me in your buddy list and when you see me online give IM me. What I am gona do is setup a ftp server on my side and you can login to it, set up transfer mode to binary, and upload the x427 firmware.
I hope you know how to use ftp ???
Let me know if this works for you, this way you can upload/download anytime you want.
When you download x427 me sure you d/l the complete firmware i.e. have right start and end address. I think it has 16MB.
I use optiflash to download firmware on my x426.
Let me know how you want to proceed.

i added u/...but i have a x426 latest firmware which i download from brand new x426 rogers..and its not 16 mb its almost 24 mb..do you have x426 firmware?
