Ok, so Im new here, and I've been reading here and some other sites quite a bit, and I didnt even know a lot of this could be done. I remember back when I used to screw with the Nokia 5160 (I think thats what it was) I had with the operator codes my friend got me and I thought that was cool. Changing the text on the main display was the hot thing to do in school, haha.
Anyway, I dont even have my V3 yet, but its in the mail and will literally be here in a few hours. The only thing Im mainly interested in is getting the video capture to work. I had a V600 (it broke), and there are a few things with that I wish I couldve changed. Had I found this site, I guess I could've, but I may want to do those to the V3 as well eventually. Just simple things like deleting locked pictures or rings, unlocking the damn soft key for mMode I had, etc. Although, Im not sure exactly how to go about doing this. I was reading on MotoX, and it looks like there are flash/flexs I can download to put on my phone that will accomplish everything I want to do without having to "edit" anything, is this correct?
I basically (like all newbies), just need to know the most simple way to do this, and since there's not a lot I want to do to the phone, it shouldnt be too hard.
If I can just use the phone tools program and those flash/flex files I can DL from MotoX, then that would be great. I just want to know for sure if I can really do it like that. Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long first post!

Basically what I meant to ask was, if I download the those 4 files from MotoX (found in the lower part of the "Reflash" section) and flash them all individually to my phone oldest to newest, if that will accomplish what Im trying to do.

Bit more to it than that?
You need a program called pst, which you need to patch with other files in order to get it to work. Then you can flash your phone with the correct monster pack....

Yeah...
I asked if all I had to do was flash/flex the proper software (such as the monster pack from MotoX) to the phone and be done with it. So the correct answer is yes, I just need the right program to do it? Is that right?
Also, how do I determine which monster pack I need? I assume I need to wait until my phone is in front of me to check software versions on it already? The damn UPS guy tried to deliver my phone to the wrong house so I dont get it until Monday now...
Thanks for the replies, sorry for the newbie questions, I just wanna do these couple tasks and thats it!
