What programs are available to convert an audio file to ringtone?

In order to convert, does it have to be an mp3?

depends on your phone ,most take mp3s so if u have a wav file or track ripped from a cd(which shold be a wav aswell) just search and down load a wav to mp3 conveter and ur away........

there are lots... the one that mostr people have is windows media player..as long as you have the most recent version.....

load the file and save as what ever file type you want...

cant help ya there... I'm a windows weenie!!

most sound cards come with sound editing software of some sort....try using that...
