I have a new Nokia 6680 on the three network in the UK - and it has a very annoying Three image and scrolling mini adverts which I want to remove. Is it wallpaper? When I choose a new theme it is still there even though the other colour scheme changes etc.
The only way to disable it that I have found is to press and hold down the menu key which then gives me the option of 'telephone' or '3 viewer'.
Arrrrrrrrrrrrgh!
Many thanks

It's a program that continously runs in the background.
You should be able to deinstall it with the help of the program manager of the phone.
There might be also an option to disable the autostart of the program
If not:
- Download and install FExplorer (www.gosymbian.com).
- Close it like you did (holding the menu key, mark it and press "c" to close it).
- Browse with FExplorer to c:\system\apps\
There should be a folder containing the "3 viewer" (no idea what it's called)
Delete the folder.
But I've got no idea how the phone will react on the missing files for autostart (generally the missing files won't cause trouble, but there might be a slight chance the phone will show an error-message now on restarting everytime).
But I can't guarantee it will work. It could be possible, that the put it in a section of the phone which isn't accessable.

I had a Siemens SX1 with a similar application by o2. But they had at least an option to deactivate the autostart of the app.

Hi there,
I had the same problem with my girlfriends nokia 6680. I downloaded the FExplorer and it wouldn't delete because it said it was already in use.
After lots of technical ideas from people, i merely clicked on "more" at the bottom of the screen on the left, and went to the bottom of the list and it said somthing like turn off viewer or stop viewer or something like that. Rest assured the viewer was then turned off You can then delete the viewer with the FEexplorer if you want to.
Hope this helps anyone who needs it.
Cheers
