I've been to two verizon stores and they both say it'll take about 2 hours to do the software upgrade on the LG VX8100. I have version 1 - and I guess version 4 is out there now (gives the MP3 capability and some other stuff).
Anyhow, I have a data cable to attach my cell to my computer. Does anyone know where I can get the software upgrade and do it myself? I'm sure it's high risk of doing it myself, but I'd like to experiment w/the phone and take my chances. Thanks

qpst maybe. not sure where you can find it on the web. you can try lgphone.info and do it with that. but i HIGHLY reccomend that you go to the verizon store. you will almost indefinitley ruin your phone.

Hey everyone. I need help. I'm getting a LG VX8100 upgrade from my old phone LG VX6100. I like LG phones and I've heard you need software upgrades to use this phone. Could anyone help me with this before I spend $149.99 on it. Like where to get it, or how to install it.
THANK YOU!
