I had Set up the following setup for MSG e-mail
ISP :GPRS --> connection type GPRS
APN address:http://device.home
Username:WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COm
Pass:CINGULAR1
dns ip: 0.0.0.0
email provider : Custom
Protocl:POP3
user id:username@gmail.com
Pass:my password
Sending host:cwmx.com
sending prot:25
receiving host:pop.gmail.com
receiport:995
return address:username@gmail.com
Name : my name
cleanup:none
Save on server :yes
Notofications:On
Check new msgs:No
Hide fiels :blank
Auto signature:blank
Security --> Use ssl for sending : No
Use ssl for receiveing:yes
Now after all these settings ...still when i try to connect to the remote server ..it says CONNECTION UNSECESSFUL PLZ TRY AGAIN OR LATER ..... i don't know whats the problem is ? am I puting anything wrong or missing something ... plz help me !
The other problem is that .....
I had setup gprs on my cell the browser is working ... but MMS is not wroking ... why is that .... ? what i have to do with it .... plz help me...

go to your service provider... website or call them... ask them for the MMS settings
the xxx is where you need to input a setting

FIX:
Press the Menu Key.
Scroll to and select "Settings"
Scroll to and select "WEB ACCESS".
Scroll to and select "Web Sessions."
Highlight "MMS" and press the Menu Key.
Scroll to and select "Edit".
Validate the following parameters:
Name: MMS
Homepage: http://xxxxxxxx.xxx
Service Type 1: WAP
Gateway IP: xx.xxx.xx.xx
Port 1: xxxx
Domain 1: blank
Gateway IP 2: 000.000.000.000
Port 2: 0
Domain 2: blank
DNS 1: 000.000.000.000
DNS 2: 000.000.000.000
Timeout: 10 Minutes
CSD no 1: Blank
Username: 1: blank
Password 1: blank
Speed (Bps) 1: 9600
Line Type 1: ISDN
CSD no 2: blank
User Name 2: blank
Password 2: blank
Speed (Bps) 2: 9600
Line Type 2: ISDN
GPRS APN:
User Name:
Password:
Press the left soft key 4 times to return to the main menu.
Scroll to and select "Messages".
Press the Menu key.
Scroll to and select "Message Inbox".
Scroll to and select "Setup".
Scroll and highlight "MMS Message Setup" and select "Change".
Scroll to and select "Server Info".
Scroll to "MMS", then press the Menu key.
Scroll to and select "Edit".
Validate the following settings:
Service Name: MMS
Server Name: http://xxx.xxxx.xxx
Web Session Name: MMS

thanx my mms is working now ... i had set up all the settings .... but now i want to access E-mail msg.... does it supports hotmail , if yes then plz what should i fill in the settings for hotmail

Press the Menu key.
Scroll to "Messages" and press Select.
Press the Menu key.
Scroll to "E-mail message setup" and press Select.
E-mail provider: User defined, example "Home"
Protocol: Select the appropriate protocol for the e-mail account being used, POP3 or IMAP4.
User ID: E-mail account user name (the username is case sensitive)
Password: E-mail account password (the password is case sensitive)
Sending host: cwmx.com
Sending port: 25
Receiving host: pop.yourisp.com for POP3 e-mail accounts. Common POP3 server names.
Receiving port: 110 for POP3 or 143 for IMAP4
Return address: username@yourisp.com
Name: This field should be left blank. If this field is populated the recipient will see the code of the letters i.e. Name entered as Nate will be displayed as bmF0ZQ==.
Cleanup: None
Save on server:Yes
Notification: On
Check new messages: Optional , recommended to set to "NO" to avoid incurring higher data charges.
Hide fields: Optional
Auto signature: Optional
Security: Press Change to access the additional settings.
Use SSL for sending: No
Use SSL for receiving: No
Warnings in background: Break connection
Size restriction: 10240
Press Back.
Test the setup by sending an e-mail.

I was scanning over your settings, and are you sure gmail is POP3? I use Gmail outside of work, and I am not sure either. Also make sure that the receiving host you have listed is correct for gmail. The outgoing never changes, it needs to be cwmx, but the incoming may be off.

it could be pop3 or IMAP... that info can be found at the Gmail site...fill in the blanks as necessary... the OP wanted the setup procedure... I personally dont use my phone for email at all... just trying to help....
but if you have the settings by all means post them!!!

I do not want to use the pop mail service at all but i have some pictures which i want to send to my pc ..for that purpose im trying to use this service ...
