I have the E2 firmware and when I enter the Message signal menu (5.5.1) the choices I have are: soundsignals, light signal or vibrate.
But no combination can be chosen icon_sad.gif .
Is there a firmware that solves this problem or is there a simple way to solve this problem.

on my fone under the tone setting there is a CB Tone option greyed out, which i believe is something related to the EMS Objects under the text message.

does anyone know how to send a message (mms or txt) with a sound file you can save or a format it will accept?

Then I need to flash my phone? icon_mad.gif or not? I'm not really good with DIY (is it a tool that creates a firmware and you need to flash it to you're phone? or do you export and import it from you're phone directly?)

Anywayz in the two cases I'll go on till I know DIY enough to do the job but ist still stupid that its not standard in the phone icon_sad.gif

yes, if you flash your fone using the samsung DIY 3.0 preview version, you have to export the sms tone or sumfin then re add it.

howevever, you will loose all your fotos if you flash

no you don't lose your photos. you are only replacing certain areas of your memory thus the other areas will not be expected. the generated S3 file will only for the changes you make and not the whole phone's firmware.

If you flash 'just differences' and you dont clear your eeprom all your stuff will still be there.
Its all about what your settings are in 'Optiflash' and whether you use the eeprom reset commands. * You DONT have to full flash and reset your eeprom EVERY time you flash.

* Note: Of course there are a lot of what if(s) to the above rule but generally speaking thats the case
