Hi everyone. My name's Erica and I'm new to this forum and can't find help anywhere else. I've called Cingular, I've called Samsung. Cingular said to call Samsung for the Subsidy Code to unlock my Samsung x427 so I can use my TMobile SIM card in it. Samsung they do not have this code, but said Cingular DOES have this code, but will act as if they don't b/c they don't want to give that information out. I called Cingular back with this information and even the store manager still acted as if they did not have this info. I've been getting the run around, and my TMobile phone is dead and I really need to use this other phone, but can't get it unlocked. Can anyone help? Please? Thanks for anything and everything! -Erica

Yeah been there done that LOL spent alllllll day yesterday and got all the same results. Apparently this phone is synonymous with Cingular only. I was told by Samsung that Cingular has the unlocker stuff, but they won't give me the time of day. I don't know what else to do. I even tried the code I found most common: *#9998*3323# and all it kept saying was "Wrong Entry"

Yeah I tried it both with SIM in and out.....with an accepted SIM as well as an unaccepted SIM. It simply is not a working code for this particular phone. I am stumped...anyone else? LOL I will provide you the information for this phone...just in case anyone has any clue how to go about unlocking this little bugger...
IMEI: 010252008692688
MODEL: SGH-X427
I've tried downloading a Samsung code generator and it didn't have this model on its list of working code indexes. I also tried using the Nokia Free code calculator, it only gave a Temporary unlock code, and not too surprising, that didn't work either. I am totally stumped here. Good luck to us all in finding a way to unlock this model.

You may have to use serial data cable PCB093LBE and unlock software like WinIMEI to unlock the phone. Check the following thread:

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately funds are not in my favor to purchase such an item. Does anyone have one of these cables they'd be willing to send to me to unlock my phone, and then I can send it back to you when finished?? I can send something of value for you to hold for collateral if need be. I am pretty desperate if it's not already obvious lol. The TMobile phone I'm stuck using now has a faulty screen, the top casing is missing, and the receiver is shot. I desperately need to get this Samsung phone unlocked b/c this is my only means of communication and I'm trying to get a job that requires the use of my phone. If anyone has the holiday spirit, I would be eternally grateful. Not to mention, I can send compensation once the funds become available to me, if anyone is willing to take a chance on a young lady in need?
PS>>>Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!! Be safe!!!

OK now I have a NEW problem. Upon trying some codes given to me by another forum, now the phone reads "Phone Locked Return for Servicing." What the heck happened and how can I undo it??? Lord I'm going nuts here! LOL
