A news post on phonescoop said cingular after rebranding everything to cingular after AT&T purchasing, is now changing their name back to at&t?
EXPLAIN PLEASE!

wow...i'm confused too!! i hadn't heard of this at all 'till i read the piece. even in customer care, we aren't even supposed to mention ATT, but refer to them only as "premerger" (then people don't know what the hell we're talking about) I guess we'll see what happens...

I had heard rumours of ATT brand being used as a reseller (like MCI wireless was) some time ago... but I took it as just that... Idle rumours... I guess the idea was expanded upon

did you look at the newssource on the homepage today, it explains it a little more. cingular brand won't go away, but ATTW for resellers in bundles like SBC and stuff like that.
man...if we were confusing customers with terms like "premerger" now, imagine what it could have been like!
