my dad has a plan with his cell phone, then added another line for 9.99, he wants to get me one for 9.99 and i was wondering if i get any deals on phones for being added?
question 2 is if i dont get any deals, and i buy a phone off ebay, will it be compatable with my service? it says unlocked and for cingular, so will it work? and all i need to do is insert the sim card?

you need to call cingular customer care or go to a store to see if you are eligible for discounts. free/discounted phones usually come 3 months out from the end of your contract.
and yes for question 2...you'll just need to order a sim from cust care or buy one at a store to work on your dad's account if you have an ATTW account. if you have a cingular account, just switch sims.

for the new line you are a new customer... best deals are online

best deals are actually through the customer service line the phones on internet wether or not it's the cingular site are often refurbished (used but repaired) with customer service or a store you get a phone through the warehouse call 1-800-331-0500
