I guess you can keep trying the way which doesn't work for you icon_rolleyes.gif

I really dont know why you imply that this is my way...I am merely following the tutorial that nfiniteFX wrote which mind you started this thread...I have managed however, to get it to work! icon_biggrin.gif Thanks nfiniteFX for this tut icon_biggrin.gif

you said my way was different, so I call it MY way icon_razz.gif
I didn't follow any tutotorial.
It's pretty logical.
- back up firmware.
- convert sre -> bin
- open bin with samsung diy
- edit bin with samsung diy
- save bin
- convert bin -> sre
- flash phone with sre

Can you tell me what you did differently from the original instructions from this thread? I am a newbie and cannot get it to work. If possible can you copy and paste the original instructions and add/edit what you have done to get it to work? We would all appreciate 2 or more points of view.

Thanks!!!

BTW...

I am using the "older" E3 firmware. For starters...what does this mean?

1. File ---> Open Mobile File ---> *.bin file for

*.bin file for (for what???)

Sorry to be so dumb at the first step. icon_cry.gif

Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

*.bin <-- "*" stands for the firmware file name. "bin" stands for binary which is the file format. it's the same as if you're opening a microsoft word document. you have to do File ---> Open ---> *.doc (or whatever format)
