Hello there,
Found you while looking for help......your site looks very newbie friendly, please can you help me?! 
I bought a new V3 from E-bay which arrived today, it was supposed to be unlocked & with accessories but it arrived locked to orange, with a new orange sim & nothing in the box but the recharger......grrrr! 
I could complain & send phone back but it already took 3wks to get here (postal service in Ireland is terrible!   )......I have a Vodafone Eire simcard I want to use in it but whenever I put the SIM in it just tells me to contact service provider - contacted Orange & they will unlock phone for £20  ......can anyone else help me?
Appologies if this is a common question - I did search to see if anyone was having the same probs & couldn't find a recent post with the probs I have...

Should say, as a newbie I looked for solutions on web but they all involve, flashing, cables, smart-clips, & loads of other things I have no clue how to use or whether they are safe.....any help appreciated

I would say you should go ahead and spend the money to unlock it, I dont think these is way to unlock it without USB, unless you can get the unlock code from Motorola.
T-mobile provides unlock codes from Motorola to their customers in US.

Only way to unlock without any type of cable is with the sim subsidy unlock code. Your provider has it whether they will provide it or not is another story.

Ok I'm super freshly new to this site and since I won't go to page 174 on the motorola talk (I'm too lazy:D) I'm not sure if people alread answered this but how can I unlcok the video capture on the black v3razr all I know is that I need a usb cable I'm clueless if someone knows please shw me how I'm super desperate same here I bught one off ebay supposed to unlock video but doesnt only has mpeg4 or something like that please help me
