I would say (and guess): 6235i is the "normal" phone, the 6236i is a especially branded one for Verizon.

You know that this is a CDMA-phone?
And you know that only Telecom Egypt and ARENTO offer CDMA in Cairo?

The difference between the 6235i and 6236i is the 6235i is a tri-band with CDMA 850 / CDMA 1900 plus AMPS 850 (analog) and the 6236i is digital only CDMA 850 / CDMA 1900 (no analog). If you roam in the rural areas where there is only analog I recommend the 6235i.
