Hi guys,
I've had a couple of samsungs, and have flashed unbranded and modified firmwares quite a lot. I have a D600E (from orange) and the only firmware file i found that seems to work is:
D600EMYEJ3
This is the winter olympic promo firmware which samsung plans to put on phones given to olympic organisers. AFAIK only the D600E~ firmware is compatible with the D600E... At least, the couple of D600X~ firmwares i tried couldn't get any signal (although all other functions worked fine). I assumed this was due to the tri-band & EDGE antenna (D600E) VS the quadband antenna (D600).
I've got the following firmwares from various sources:
D600ANEI1_EI3
D600XAEI9
D600XAEIA
D600XEEJ3
If anyone has another firmware version, i'm happy to test it for them (i'm quite used to flashing, breaking and fixing my phones now!). Also, i've managed to decompile quite a lot of the flash menus, and am in the process of modding D600 firmware to customise menus, images, sounds etc, if anyone is interested in helping.
Does anyone have any other D600E firmware?
Cheers,
Colin

WOOHOO i found it!! Unbranded, D600E compatible firmware. 100% working, good signal, no branding, no vertical orange menu bar, no t-mobile startup screens!
According to the #*8999*TEST# menu this software was only released on November 19th 2005... its got to be the latest release out there.
The firmware is: D600EXBEK4
Now, before anyone asks, i'm NOT emailing it to anyone... its 77Mb (unzipped) and thats way too large to email. With permission, i'll host it for download though.
For anyone who wants to buy a serial or USB cable to flash their D600 or D600E, they can get this firmware AND all the hardware required from these guys:
Samsung D600 De-Brand Flash Pack

Cheers all, and happy flashing,
Colin

I'm a little lost, do i have the D600E or D600 on my box it's the D600.
It's the quadband version.
Now my question is, the above posted firmware, is it an official from Samsung, but just not officially released but leaked?

If it's quadband (850/900/1800/1900), you have the D600. The one without EDGE support.
