I'll keep it short and sweet. Dropped Razr, battery popped out as always. Fired right up but now have white screen of death. Have tried battery in and out restart many times. Front screen works fine, just not the large one.
Shall I order new screen or do you think its cable sheared? I didn't get from Cingular (my provider) so its help here or Motorola. All numbers and names still in phone.
thanks in advance!

if your Razr landed on the side opposite the USB port, you may have dislodged the cable. try squeezing the phone just below the battery case on the side opposite the usb connector (not too hard so you crack or break something though). restart after. Let me know if this helps.

A valient effort, still kicking the white screen. I don't want to send in only because software is not recognizing any of my contacts stored in the phone. they are there though, call id works.
Thanks again Gresh

Can you try to boot in bootloader mode? (press * and # at the same time while pressing power button. If the phone boots in BL mode, then you probably will need to just flash. If it still white screens, you can disassemble it to check the cable.
another thing to try is to remove the battery, and hold down several of the keys at the same time for about a minute. Then replace the battery. If this doesnt work, try removing the battery for 3 hours or more.

Looks like surgery....no luck. If its an easy disassembly, I'll take it apart and glance at the cable. Will it void my warranty if I take apart and put back together? My guess is yes.
I appreciate all you help

Oh yes, it will void your warranty. If its still under warranty, you can just send it back. If you need to recover your data from the phone, you can use a program like MPT or MotoKit (or others) to download your address book. You dont need to be able to see the screen for that. Once you get it, just send the phone back and get a new one.
Let me know if you need the new one unlocked
