Can any one tell me what is the total time required to charge the battery ...
right now my phone is dead...just plugged in the charger..a rough estimate would be helpful

Thanks...I left it overnight...but it still did not seem to charge...I think there is a problem either with the battery or the charger..
Another question:
Once the charger is plugged in and connected to phone and I am not getting the Unable to Charge message then is it safe to assume that the battery is getting charged Or is there a seperate status which indicates that the battery is charging

My V551 says "Charging" when the phone is actually charging, when it's done, it says "Charging Complete"

I went to the Cingular store today, asking an unrelated question about by V551. I mentioned that it had trouble charging, and he said if I bring in the charger, they'll swap it with a new improved model, that is "fatter" so it connects to the phone better.
He said it was a pretty common problem with the chargers.

Hi friend I also Got this problem.but It is corrected when I buy a New Adaptor....

Ok finally I have decided to buy a new battery and a charger for the phone. But I could not find a battery model number. Does motorola have just one type of battery ? If not can anyone give me a specific model number.
