I have PST 7.2.3 General and in other posts and forums i keep seeing that a patch is needed. can sombody explain this to me? Is the why when i attempt to run multiflex flash it comes up security key needed? Is multiflexflash the easiest tool to use as i have heard rds lite is a little more stable. does rds lite also require a security key? I have been without a working phone for a few days now trying to flex and flash my phone and have gotten 5 viruses and a handful of hair to show for it. could somone PLEASE PM me and put me in the right direction. I'm pretty desperate. THANKS IN ADVANCE BUDDIES

Wirelessly posted (Gizmo: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; PalmSource/hspr-H102; Blazer/4.2) 16;320x320)
if you've a copy of pst, chances are the patch file is in the folder somewhere.
let's just say the patch file will make this propiertory software works.

patch = modification to software files

Not used rds lite myself but have read similar. Not sure if needs a patch.

You are not allowed to ask for these progs / patches here - if you google hard you should find what you need - everyone has to do it once!
However, why does your phone not work and why do you think flashing will fix it? If you can't get these progs to work you can't have modded it and screwed anything up so chances are you have a hardware problem.

If the phone has a hardware prob you will either not be able to flash or if you do succeed you will void any warranty. What is your actual prob with the phone?

Can you clarify "unlock code" if you mean to unlock your phone then flashing / flexing will absolutely not do that - and its very naughty of cingular to tell you to do this.

Not sure i understand you here - flashing or flexing will not make your phone brand new and it will invalidate any warranty you have.
Where did you get the phone - from your service provider?

I purchased the phone from a friend who had tmobil and i have cingular, so a flash is neccessary first off. problem is the unlock code like a pin number needs to be done thats where the flex comes in and i bought the phone becuase he said this could be done easily. so the flex may erase all pre-existing software firmware on the phone and may start ofver from scratch, i believe a flex to be synonymous with a format of a harddrive, am i mistaken? i have spent way too much time doing this and would like to see this stupid problem fixed. i'm soo close. e-mail address is mrgreek33@yahoo.com i'd apprecciate your correspondance sent there if you could please

your phone needs unlocking a flash or flex WILL NOT fix this. Best bet is get your friend to try to get the unblock code off t mobile. The unblock code is imei specific so no one here can help you with codes.
You might be able to get a local store to help you if they have an unlocking device e.g. smart clip.
All the start over after flex / flash stuff is balls - this will not unlock your phone.
Next time resaerch before you spend your pennies
