I sell gsm cell phones and i usually get unlocked phones from my supplier but i am now getting locked phones from another supplier and i am thinking about buying a Motorola smartunlocker(unlocks motorola phones). Now my first question is i have heard from alot of places that unlocking works fine, you can use it for other carriers but the internet will only work for the original company. Is this true? And if i unlock my phones with a Motorola smart unlocker will it damage or disable my phones in any other way? My second question is Does anyone know what the benifits are to buying a smartclip(unlocks and flashes)? I really dont see the point in flashing something but does anyone have any reasons why phones should be flashed? Any help i can get i wont be able to thank you enough!

I know its not illegal that is obvious. and i know there are places you can go. But i want to know if it does damage. Like if you can still use the internet? Because of the rumors i heard that once you unlock the phone the interent only works for the original carrier

that's because the original browser setting are set to the original carrier. once the respective carrier's browser setting are input, the data side usually works fine.

Do you have to do that manually? If so is there any general way to do it on a motorola phone and could you explain?
the only way you can mess it up is if your puter shuts off during the process or a power outage. it is nearly impossible to have the phone go bad.

Most of my phones are so old they dont have warranties anyways. Also i think you have to legally purchase a brand new phone for it to be under warranty. None of my phones are any longer with the original owner and therefore there is probably no warranty for us anyways.
