I live in a small town of about 30,000 people Called Roseburg. Its in Northwest Oregon, and I want to get a new cell phone carrier. I don't have business needs or anything like that, I just want to get a good provider. I currently have US Cellular. What kind of plans/providers would you all recommend?

Your best bet would be do some research, see who has the best coverage, then make up yur mind on whats more important phone or plan and fine the carrier that fits you the best.

Sprint and Verizon would be good being CDMA and TDMA providers in a more rural town

First, thank you for the help everyone. Second, I think I'm going to try Edge Wireless, my friends say it has pretty good service. And as far as Sprint or Verizon, the closed Verizon is about 58 miles north, and I only know one person that has anything good to say about sprint around here. I was even told my a sprint employee who I did not know or anything that sprint sucks, and he wouldn't recommend it.

So what do you think about Edge?

I just wanted to reply to the Cingular rep's comments.Edge Wireless is an affiliate of Cingular. We provide coverage North of Medford (Grants pass area) to South of Cottage Grove. Your map should show our coverage as a partner area. We can provide local phone numbers and similar plans.

Service in the Roseburg area is excellent. We utilize GSM/GPRS/EDGE technology at 1900Mhz.
