Hi, according to my local T-Mobile store all Samsung D600's that have been sold within the last 3months are being called back due to the battery life not lasting as long as it should. Apparently anybody that has purchased one will recieve a letter in the post informing them to go and change their phone when the new batch is in stock. Does anybody know if this is true??

Yeah, that makes sense . T-Mo USA doesn't even sell the D600.
Why don't you call T-Mobile Customer Service directly and ask about the recall? I haven't seen nor heard anything like that in the other cellular forums I go to.
It seems that you should dial "150" on your phone
[Wow, T-Mobile actually charges for calls to CS for certain plans in the UK? That sucks.]
Edit: Though I haven't heard about a recall, defective battery batches must be there. I am seeing threads of people complaining about defective D600 batteries.

Yeah, i thought of doing that but decided it to call Samsung UK customer services instead and they told me that this was not true...
So i then called back my local T-Mobile store and told them. But they told me that they had around 30 D600's in stock but had been e-mailed that morning and told not to sell them and to send them back to samsung due to faulty batteries??
The only thing i can really do now is keep my eye out on cell forums and call T-Mobile customer services directly. And yeah T-Mobile charging for certain plan calls really does suck. You mentioned that you were seing threads of defective batteries so maybe it is true.

I can confirm this issue. Hungarian users suffer with same simptoms: battery life way too short, it last 1 day maximum.
So the truth maybe there are a huge amount of D600s which has this problem.
(The provider didn't call back any of them. A customer had complaints, they 1st gave him a reset code "which might help". That was not helped, so the guy take it back for fixing. After a week he received his phone, with a brand new firmware. But the problem is still exists! )
If any1 wants to try if his phone has the same problem just try to switch on/off the phone when you recharge the battery. If it has problem, the battery life will be shortened and you will experience it within 1 day.
You decide.

Maybe after you've got back your images, get a new firmware for your mobile. It seems only a firmware refresh can be useful in this issue. One thing is pretty much certain (99%): not the battery is the responsible, but the mobile.
soulseeker: I just hope this will be a small effort comparing to losing precious images. (Besides, you would experience this kind of problem anyway - just after a few months of usage.)

i though now that i have returned my pics i can make Settings reset (in settings menu) maybe that helps don't know... i have read many forums on battery problem like u said "you would experience this kind of problem anyway - just after a few months of usage." so this means that's not that big problem anyway

True, true. My selection in this issue would be a fw upgrade. (Here, within the warranty coverage you can send your phone anytime to refresh its firmware to the latest. To tell the truth, I am going to do this anyway... when my phone will be 11 months old. Or 23? Or when I experience such problem.)
If you will try the settings reset, inform us about the details.

Everything seems to be fine my suggestion would be that EEPRON is Factory (Samsung) Settings it would run all hidden services apps etc. so it loads up battery... and Settings reset is my provider's/suplier's settings to improve work of handset. btw Settings reset didn't touch Images/Video folders so i guess no EEPRON restart was needed
