Hi,
I have a Nokia 7210 from At&t. I went and did a number transfer but I ordered a new phone and service plan from Cingular instead of upgrading my account. I just got the new phone and i get the error message "SIM card registration failure." My old phone is working fine. I was wondering if because I didn't upgrade and instead transfered my at&t number to a new phone and service that, that might be the reason for the error? And if it is what can I do to fix it? Thanks.

are you trying to use your old phone or the new one? if its the old one you can't use your new cingular sim in the ATT phone without unlocking it first. if that error is coming from the new phone then you need to call customer service.

Yeah, it is the new phone that isn't working. The old phone is working and is unlocked. But the new phone, when i took it out of the box and put in the battery said, "SIM Card Registration Failure."

Thanks Celtic Dragon. I don't know exactly what they did, but it works now, so everything is good.
