just got a bill from t-mo showed there a lot of international calls. First I did not know what was happening but now I know what I did wrong. Been using phone card but never get charge on INT calls. This time I retrieve the #s from the phone book instead of punching the destination #. I did not know that I made the call from the cell until the bill arrived and didn't even know I could call International with the cell phone. Talked to T-mo but they're not willing to do anything for me even as if I am innocent. I know I made the error and willing to pay but it's too much. Seeking for help/ advise... !!!!!!!!! icon_sad.gif icon_sad.gif icon_sick.gif

On some cell phones, such as mine, I would need to select [Calling Card Call] on the phone before even entering a calling card number. Then Hit [Send]. I think that will prevent those charges from occurring. I maybe wrong because I never had to use it. ,'[

talked to mr.dotson the executive office and explained everything to them. they offered $400 credit. which is good i guess but again it's a big error i made. paid for what i learned. thats a pretty expensive lesson!!! i got charged for not knowing until the bills arrived. only blame them for not notifying their customers on such a big changes on their bill. Unlike banks, they at least give you a call and asks did you charge all these couple hundreds/thousands dollars of all the sudden on all these strange charges. I blame myself for not paying enough attentions.. icon_ermm.gif icon_sad.gif

no they credited me not for that i made the error but for that Customer Care can't/did not handle the situation. I was pissed at t-mobile customer service suxs. I don't wanna re-post everything here. $400 off a over $4000 dollars phone bill? thats a 3-5yrs of service will they do anything for you? I have a family plan w/ 5 lines.. Haha funny...I contacted Mr. Dotson because I got pissed out. After I paid off and request for re-newal to my contract which is up, they did NOT even offer anything NOT a thing. Should I continue my service w/ them? If you are curious about my case, please review my other posts... and if you mind, reply to my post and let know if i'm the stupid person. .too much to say again but thank you everyone!!!

Unfortunately, there's no excuse for negligence and yes, the price to pay on such a mistake is tremendous.

Some phones allow you to program calling cards and others don't, but from what I remember, ALL phones allow for international calling. International calling is just a few additional digit(s) in front of the typical 10 digit number, after all.

Some phones that are on the Sprint network and other non-GSM networks will warn you if you are about to place an international call and will warn you about roaming, but not all phones will do that.

In the end, it is always the phone's owner who is ultimately responsible for where they call to and what features they utilize on their phones.

And yes, accidents happen. We're all human after all.

Strike what I said about the payment plan. I just reread what you posted and it seems you already paid off the bill? icon_smile.gif

I'll be very honest with you and say that T-Mobile is in no way obligated to give you anything additional when renewing your contract, especially if they just gave you $400 credit.

Sometimes I've been given additional minutes every month (like, 50) and if I want to upgrade my phone, I can sometimes get a discount for being a loyal customer, but other than that, there's really not much else.

if you get a citation, when you head up to the court and say you're guilty, they will knock down at least 50% right? t-mo chose not to accept my explaination of how i made the error nor willing to help out. like i said in the other post ; i did not call to complain or say "..hey i didn't make all these call and i'm not gonna pay for it..bluh bluh blud.." they can see on my billing history, when did i ever charge or use Int. calls on the cell? HELLO...this is like the FiRst time out of the whole entire year. He said that $400 credit wasn't that I made the error with mistake but for that CSR are unable to handle this matter. So my contract is over now, should I renew my 5 lines when i get offer nothing??
