Hi All,
I have a Nokia 6260 with a cable and Nokia PC Suite ( Latest Version ). I was wondering how you upload applications to it. I have a .JAR and .JAD file for a FreeWare game ( Spruce Checkers ) that has worked fine on all the mobiles I have had.
Using PC Suite, I go into the Application Installer and Upload it. It uploads fine and the phone prompts me to install it which is says is successfull.
After that, I cannot find the application. I have looked in the Games, Tools and Extra folder and it isn't there ( also looked in Web, Application as it says in the manuual ). If you use the App Manager on the phone, it is there and it says it is installed but you cannot launch anything from the App Manager.
I have now tried this with some other applications ( including ones that come on the CD that came with the phone ). It does the same for all of them. They all install ok but I cannot find where you launch the application from afterwards.
Any help much appreciated.

The apps normally are shown in the main menu (scroll down all the way).

Have tried looking everywhere. There are no extra options in the main menu. The manual says to look under WEB->Applications. I don't have this folder but this assumes you have downloaded it from the WEB. There is also a note in the manual saying that if they are uploaded via PC Suite, then they may appear in the games folder. Mine are not there either.

Many thanks for your help Bjoern. Tried some Apps last night and sure enough they do appear on the main menu. I could then just move them to the folder of my choice. I don't know what I was doing wrong before.

Do all appear now? Or only some?
Sometimes a reboot is helping

They all seem to appear now. Perhpas it was the reboot that fixed it. I seem to notice a lot of funnies with this phone that seem to rectify themselves after a reboot.

Maybe a glitch in the firmware?
