Well, I have found one way to work around it. It's kind of a pain, but it works. You can use the PC Studio that comes with the phone, and use the video editor and just browse the files on your pc and drop the .mp3 that you want as a ringtone into the timeline, send it to your phone (you have to put it in your "Downloaded Videos"), and then you can assign that as a ringtone. You can put videos and pictures along with it too. So far this is the only way I've found to use the ringtones that I've made. Like I said it is a pain, but it is a way to use your custom ringtones.
<Edit: Well, scratch that. I swore it was working, but now it just plays the ringtone over the video's audio.>

ive exhausted all the options in ImToo mpeg encoder and the erricson DRM program. All i was successful in doing was getting the phone to reset itself lol.
dustin got a idea, what do you think if you encode the mp3 into a video format then with the pcstudio software put it in like a video? what i got out of you post was you added the song to a video or something. may just be going over tried ground. this mp3 stuff is getting annoying

all u got to do is rename the .mp3 into .3gp and it works.
The Steps:
1. Go to where your .mp3 is located (ex. My Music)
2. Go to the Tools menu at the top
3. Click Folder Options
4. Click the View tab
5. Uncheck "Hide extensions for unkown file types"
6. Click Apply, then ok
7. Right-click the.mp3 you want
8. Rename, Make Sure to change the .mp3 to .3gp
9. Save (click yes)
10.Make sure your phone settings/USB Settings is set to mass storage so the memory card comes up
11.Plug your phone up to the USB cable
12.Copy the new .3gp to the Music part ot your memory card
13. Unplug the cable then go to your phone menu/ Fun & Apps/ File Manager/ Memory Card/ Music
14. Find the song you want
15. Click Options/ (3) Set As/ (1) Ringtone
16. Press yes to copy to the phone and set as ringer
