Hi.
Apologies if this has been posted hundreds of times before.
I recently accquired a Bluetooth dongle from ebay for a reasonable price, it came with software which I duly installed.
The software is called "Blue Soleil", I wanted to use it alongside Nokia's Pc Suite.
I installed the Blue Soleil software no problems, and then installed the PC Suite.
Blue Soleil is working fine, I can transfer files across to my Nokia 6230, but when I try to connect to PC Suite, it does not see my Bluetooth connection at all.
I have gone through the FAQ's on Nokia's site etc, downloaded updates etc, I am running low on ideas?
Is there a master solution that I am unaware of?
I am running on Windows XP Pro, SP 2.
Thanks for your help in advance.

The BlueSoleil software is known as not 100% compatible, happens alot. For a short time Nokia states, it is compatible, but that is not completely true. Some newer versions of the BlueSoleil software should be compatible.
The Microsoft bluetooth software which is included in the SP2 is quite nice and works very smoothly.
You should try them instead, they should have been installed automatically when the stick was connected.

Does anyone have a link for the latest software for Blue Soleil then?
I cannot find any on the net.
I would be very grateful.
Thanks

I have tried the software which came with it, but I'd prefer the PC Suite by nokia to be honest.

You would need at least 1.6.x
http://www.bluesoleil.com/update/index.asp
But it is only a evaluation version, you can't just download the newer software, you'll need to buy it.
You should check the version you use first.
Some more infos:

Just two words: BlueSoleil stinks
You might consider to exchange the dongle for another one with other software (Widcomm) or at least try the Windows software.

Thanks for the advice.
The evaluation version did the trick, but like you said, the software is dodgy.
Is there a way to get round the evaluation, eg. deleting it from the registry after its time is up?
I cannot find the Microsoft Bluetooth software, it is not listed in All Progs ->Accesories->Communications on my laptop.
What is the exe command?
Thanks once again!

You can get around the evaluation by buying it.
The Microsoft bluetooth software normally reacts when a bluetooth dongle is plugged in and you don't install the software which comes with the stick. There is no way to trigger it afterwards (unless you completely remove the old software and drivers)
