Yeah, I tried it all a couple more times but still no luck. As far as I know I've been getting all the Nokia removed, through the "add/remove programs", going to my computer to program files and deleting all nokia folder and contents, and also going through the start menu and running nokia searches then deleting all that as well. Actually, I just started looking at the Nokia Developer Discussion Boards and a lot of people are having the same issues. As it turns out, there's some stuff going wrong during the updating just like you said. Here's a link to the thread I'm looking at (I hope it's okay):

I just installed the new PC Suite, but my OS is a fresh installation and I guess I have no problems because of that.

The new version seems to bring a lot new stuff... invisible and visible (like the new Music Manager).

Have you installed the new version without deinstalling the old version? Because of this things can go wrong...

Good point, I think I see what you're saying. Updating from version 6.7.22 to version 6.8.20 (without uninstalling first), that version wouldn't complete installation. By removing all nokia then using the Nokia's cleaner program, version 6.8.20 would install but there are issues with that version. However, after installing 6.8.20, there is a message that the updated version 6.8.21 is available (saying it corrects some registration problems), so that's what I did, updating from there. I wanted to try installing version 6.8.21 fresh, but on the Nokiausa website they didn't have this newest version on there last night. I'll try that when they update the website, or if I can find a link to the new version. Thanks for helping, we'll all get it working again soon icon_lol.gif

I wouldn't use localized websites.

The international website of Nokia is normally the first one which has the newest versions:
http://europe.nokia.com/nokia/0,,72026,00.html
The is 6.8.21 available, that's where I got it this morning icon_wink.gif

Thanks for the advice, it's all working now! That's a good tip to know about the international website having the most recent updates. I think one reason it was messing up may have been that I was plugging the DKU-5 cable in before installing PC Suite and before the "get connected wizard". Also I don't know if it made any difference (and it's probably not recommended, so I'm kind of afraid to admit it) but while I was again uninstalling and deleting files I noticed that the Nokia Registry Cleaner was leaving registry information. Maybe that's normal and intended, but I decided to go ahead into regedit and delete all the Nokia/ PC Suite I could find in there as well. I could get yelled at for that one though icon_redface.gif icon_angel.gif icon_lol.gif

Anyhow, thanks again!!

my release of pc suite is 6.8.22 which I downladed from nokia usa site last week. USA version does not show support for nokia 6126 or 6131 phones but the version at the wuropean site shows support for 6131. i thought pc suite would support all nokia phones regardless of the region

Because both phones haven't been released officially in USA yet. The 6131 has been released in Europe.

But yes, it should support the phones anyway.
