Hi,
Depnding on how you look at it (or where the problem is), I cant:
1. get my t610 to realise that there is a network access point on my PC/Bluetooth USB adapter
and/or
2. get my PC to advertise my Bluetooth network access correctly
I can transfer pics/sound/java to the phone (and back), and
the phone recognised the following services on my PC bluetooth device:
Sync
Headset
FTP
Object Push.
but no net access
I have version 1.3.2.7 of the CN-500 Driver
Any one have a similar problem and or fix. I will try to find another phone/Bluetooth adapter to test combinations..... but here's hoping...
Thanks in addvance

Well if eveything worx so nice (I mean normal data transfer) than it's impossible that there may be a hardware error. Coz both device find each other if you can send stuff back and forth as you've mentioned. Then probably the version of yor BT adapter simply doesn't have this feature. OR (I dunno anything of T610 firmwarez) yor T610 firmware version is a bit older than you'd like it to be.

The PC side of Bluetooth does indeed 'say' it supports net sharing in one of 2 ways: access to LAN, or just aprivate network between phone & PC, but neither works. I've played with the config, but no joy.
With thanks to this nugget:
http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic3410.html
is any one able to point the finger at my firmware being the clulprit:
According to the Service menu, my firware is:
R1A081 prgCXC125-598_EU_7
R1A081 prgCXC125-562_TAE
Customization MS
CDA102222/8 R8A
Customization TAE
CDA10222/8 R8A
It's a UK Vodaphone phone btw.
Many thanks

Does this mean its possible to browse the net from the phone over bluetooth via my home lan/adsl conection ?
Any reason you would do this and not use the PC?
Or am I completely missing the point?

Yep, it /should/ mean that the phone can use the Bluetooth connection to access a LAN via the PC.
There are a few (many?) possible reasons why, but my main reason is that I have an J2ME app I wish to write that will need to use an HTTP connection, but I dont want test it using my pay per byte/second GSM/GPRS connection, hence the Bluetooth LAN option is looking quite sexy.
Another reasson is Bluetooth hotspots, for when your out and about and aren't sitting right next to your PC. Hopefully free downloads on the move, but I think anyone who offers hotspot will actually charge a fee before they tell you what the Pairing passcode is. But you never know....

Hi!
I'm facing the same problem as you did. I want to use my DSL-connection on my desktop using the T610, but the T610 doesn't show the service as an avaible service on my desktop. My PC is configured to announce and offer this service and it seems to me that the T610 is not capable of using BT for internet access.
My question: do you have any reliable information that is possible to use Bluetooth for internet access with the T610? So we both don't have to waste time and money searching for a solution.
BTW: Same reasons for me using the DSL connection; developing apps on the T610 and don't want to pay money for every single bit.
Thanks in advance and - maybe - if you have a solution by now give me some hints how to solve this,
Michi
