Hello,
My K750i new phone, first time when I put for charging I kept it for 4 hours and it did't charge 100%, next day I put in charging for whole night and morning its showing 74% charging, and still keep on charging, after that I have approched the Sony ericsson local service people and they have changed the charger as well as battery, but the problem still exists, What could be the problem?

it could be either a software or hardware problem with your phone, or he batteries ur getting could have ben lying around 4 a while and need a good condition, remember that lithium ion batteries dont reach their full capicity until they have been charged and dis-charged a few times

I have the same problem with my K750i and that it never shows a full charge even after 48 hours of charging (74%). SE support said a FW upgrade will correct the problem and that the latest is R1AA008. I currently have R1N035.

Still trying to do the fw upgrade with no success.

Odd thing I was having problem with the downloads using SUSE from my office computer. The SUSE screen (macromedia) just set there and after 24 hours was still like that. Tried doing it on my home computer with a 56k modem and it successfully downloaded the full 60+ MB in about 3 hours. Will try to flash today. Located in Thailand so things are a little slower here.

Hello tywais,
I have upgraded the firmware though website, now my phone shows the firmware as R1AA008, but still I have the same problem, earlier it shows 74% now its showing 92%, and if i see the phone status it says charge completed, when I remove the charger battery is showing 90% charge, any idea what could be wrong? Already I changed the battery & charger

Mine had the same problem...
Try trickle charging the phone.
Drain it - not completely, you don't have to do that with Li-Poly or Li-Ion batteries- until the battery indicator is red or almost gone.
Charge it fully.
Unplug the charger. Plug it in again. Let it charge.
Repeat until you've charged plugged/unplugged the charger 3-4 times.
I've gotten the status to read 100% charged when the charger is plugged in.
It dropped to 98% when I unplugged it. Close enough for me.
One of these days over the holiday week, I'm going to completely deplete the battery and do it again.

I did get the upgrade done successfully. I have the same symptoms as you but at least it doesn't stick at 74% anymore but never see 100%, in the mid 90% at most.

Pulled the battery out and put a load on it of about 4mA and used a voltmeter and it shows 4.0VDC (battery rated 3.6V - but not unusual to see higher levels in batteries). This tells me the battery is getting a full charge but the metering system in the k750i is still not quite right. I can live with it knowing at least it is fully charging.
