does anybody know how to increase the volume when playing back sound recordings? Whether i shout into the phone or speak normally it still plays back really quiet.

Cheers

The volume key on the side of the phone only works with calls. I believe there is no way to increase the volume of the recordings. In order to make the sound files too small they have chosen a bad bad 'amr' compression codec. however the recording its not so bad, it does well with voice memos ( you have to shout a bit). With a lot of free memory i bet you can record up to 10min of talking!!! Its just not for music recording.

I was just wondering if you could do the same as in the vodaphone advert with the motorola phone. the one where the guy is on the train and his women has sent him a message saying "I love you" and him and the rest of the people on the train can here it when he plays it.
I guess this isnt possible then.

when in sound recorder menu and you are playing a recording you use the volume key(on the side of the phone ) to increase/decrease the listening volume icon_mad.gif
