how can i format my 6260 phone mem w/out the code?? help pls

Help please.. My phone is N6260, Are there still be ways on how to reformat my phone memory because i forgot my code lock icon_cry.gif . If yes, then after i format it, is their a need to install a new symbian os again?? pls help thanks a lot

No, you don't need to re-install it. Formating the phone is re-installing.

Turn phone off, press and hold the green (talk) key on the left + number 3 on the keypad + the * key and then turn the phone back on.

The phone will start the formatting process without confirmation!

eventhough i reformatted the phone memory still, the code is still there... how can i remove that pesky code.. icon_ermm.gif ehmm.. but still if there's no solution, it shuld be fine now that i know how to reformat it. thanks again. If still there's solution please.. icon_rolleyes.gif

phone lock code which i forgot.. icon_sick.gif Whenever i wanted to restore my factory settings, it always asking me for the lock code in phone setting.

Well, the only chance now is by reflashing the phone by a Nokia Care Center, that way really everything will be reset.

Or ask a guy called "Burratha" in the forum, he claims he can generate a code to bypass the security code.
