The MP#'s won't work when you use Macintosh because iTunes uses a special encoding over MP3 to lock it into Apple. What you need to do is find a hack to take the .aac encoding off of the iTunes file to make it straight MP3 again. I have not found one because I hate iTunes for this reason, but good luck.

click on importing using
change from AAC encoder to MP3 encoder
click ok and close window
then right click on any song already in I tunes

I only ask this because different people have said that when you use these small card readers that they only work with Windows Media Player 10

it depends on the firmware in your phone, if it's version 2 then loading mp3's is no problem, on the other hand if it's verison 5 I've heard you have to go in and set it up :
1) menu
2) 0
3) 000000
4) music setting
5) mp3 only
I'm using verison 2 and at this point I'm not thinking of upgrading to 5

Hi ,
I am not very good with computers. I have a Mac and this phone has a MINI SD Card and I am not sure if those card readers will work on my Mac. I do have USB 2 Ports.
Thank You
Tony

You can use iTunes to convert a song with the .aac extention to an mp3. In your library, highlight the song or songs you want to convert. Go to iTunes preferances, advanced, importing. Make sure that the Import using pull down menu shows MP3 Encoder. Close preferences and in iTunes click on the Advanced pull down menu. With the song or songs you want to convert still highlighted, choose convert to mp3. after it's done you will have two copies of each song you converted. The original aac and the new mp3. You can delete the aac or keep both. The mp3s can be moved into the MY MP3s folder on your MiniSD card then the card can be put into your V phone and the songs played.
Hope I helped. javascript:emoticon(' ')

If you get an error in the conversion that says the song is protected, you can burn the song to CD then import it as mp3.

Guys, guys, GUYS! What is all this yammerin' about? The guy was originally asking about not being able to see the mp3's on his phone after formatiing his card, dropping a file in the the MY_MP3 folder, and inserting the card. The simple explanation for that is that you should check the filename for any extra punctuation marks like ('$!@&()*&><- all that stuff and take it out (from your computer). Doesn't always solve the problem, but hey it does alot of the time.

Hi. I don't mean to be rude, but is changing whatever audio files to *.mp3 (or *.qcp) format(s) illegal? Are they free software, and all that? Just making sure.
