hi everyone
i recently aquired a motorola SLVR L7, and i was wondering if it is possible to copy java programs into the cell phone using bluetooth or the usb cable.
do i need to have a memory card in it, or can i copy the program directly into the cell phone internal memory?
i already tried to send the .jar file to the cell phone using the bluetooth conection, but so far i only get a "error copying file" message.
and how do i know if a program will work on my cell phone?
i would apreciate any help u could give me

This is how you do it:
1.) You need p2kman and usb cable
2.) download midway (freeware program to upload java games to your phone)
3.) look online for free java games & download the .jar and .jad of the game. Save these two to a folder on your desktop.
4.) On your phone, under settings>java settings , enabe java app loader.
5.) plug cord in 2 computer and phone
6.) open midway and select com port that you pluged the cord into. (you can find this info in device manager).
7.) open the .jad file in midway and press send to phone
8.) press download on phone
9.) all done! congrads! lol
If you have any q's you can e-mail me or post.
p.s. ALL MODDING HAS TO BE DONE ON A WINDOWS PC!! (so sad as Im a mac freak, but luckily kept my old p.c.)

Hi, I also have a L7. I was just wondering if yours came with itunes because I read somewhere that the L7 comes with itunes but I forgot where and mine did not come with itunes. I was also wondering how I could transfer music from my pc onto the phone. I tried using a usb cable but a window pops up saying that I need an installation cd but no cd was included. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

wow that sucks. I don't even know where to start to find the installation cd. And I want itunes even though it has a digital audio player.

Just picked my slvr l7 up a few days ago.
It came with ITunes. The service provider is Cingular.
Haven't got around to Modding it, or really playing with it yet. Seems to be an ok phone so far.
