I just started having a potential problem. I've had my Razr V3 for several months. Always before, when I plugged my phone into the charger, it would say "charging" until complete. Then, after I had it unplugged for a few hours, I could put it back and it would say charging again. One day ago, however, it never stopped saying "Charge Complete". Can it actually be holding a full 100% charge after 24hours? And this is with me doing a handful of phone calls, and playing about an hours worth of games, videos, etc. My concern is that the battery could be draining down, but some problem is causing the system to still think it's full, and thus it won't charge up.
Anyone seen this problem?

turn phone off, remove battery wait a min and replace battery and turn back on.
If you still have a problem wait till it eventually dies, remove battery, wait, replace then charge phone while off before powering back up

Okay, I'll try that. The phone died shortly after I posted the message -- it went from full cap to zero. Now it appears to be charging normally. There's still some issue with the battery status though. From the phone's app->tools->phone status->battery menu, it will say 6 bars. But when I plug in the charger, it drops down to 2 bars. Is this a known problem?

it's not a problem but a specific behavior of the battery controller. don't charge the battery every time u want. it has a certain lifetime and every charge/discharge cycle shortens it.

I'd be willing to keep the phone off the charger except when the battery is low *IF I COULD TRUST THE BATTERY INDICATOR*. As it is, it goes from saying "6 bars of charge" to "Zero" in the space of a few minutes. Is there a software update or something that can correct this problem? It seems the only time I get an accurate picture of the charge left is when I have it plugged into the charger.

Have you tried this:
